Eat me

Today we found some cute cookie cutters in our local supermarket. Love, Eat me, Home made and super star. They pushed out easily and we were super impressed with the finished result.

Teal

I don’t think that we have ever seen teal coloured donuts before so not sure where this idea came from 😜 To be honest we are not overly happy with the colour performance of our bath bombs using mica. There is just not enough showmanship in the tub. We ordered some water soluble dyes from an Australian company but never received our purchase 😪 Goodbye $100. Lesson learned, buy from bigger and more reputable companies in the future.  The bath bombs still work well but without the razzmatazz of brilliant colours it doesn’t express what we want from this venture.

Bathing Duck Demo

Bathing Duck Bath Bombs

We have seen photos of Bathing Duck soaps but never on a Bath Bomb. Sometimes our head is swimming with ideas....excuse the pun 😜 We used a shot glass for a mould and then topped them with bath whipping foam, coloured Epsom salt and a cute rubber duck.  These would be great for gender reveal gifts! Children’s parties or upcoming Easter gifts.

Bath Bomb Donuts

We purchased a Donut mould baking pan from Spotlight. For a relatively small outlay of just  $10 we were prepared for our little experiment to fail 😜 But it didn’t fail! It worked beautifully.  The bath bomb mix we are currently using has been tweaked a number of times and works perfectly. It dries hard as a rock within an hour. I personally think the secret lies in the distilled water. The donuts fell out of the pan easily and none cracked or broke.  We iced them with melt and pour soap and sprinkled with coloured Epsom salts.

Goddess Bath Bomb demo

Goddess Bath Bombs

We wanted to make some bath bombs that were simple in style yet elegant. Not every bath has to be a blaze of colour! These are scented with strawberries and rhubard, sweet and fruity. Our bath bombs contain SLSA, a gentle skin safe product derived from coconut that fills the tub with bubbles. No harsh chemicals. Fizz and bubbles with a sprinkling of glitter. Indulge yourself 💕

Brass candle

Our son is the candle maker of the family. He is a perfectionist and takes a lot of pride in his work. We bought some beautiful containers from our local candle supplies store and had fun putting together some new soy candles. This brass look container makes a stunning centrepiece. Scented with Love Spell it is perfect for A Valentine’s Day gift or any other day for that matter.

Love Spell Bubble Bar Demo

Bubble Bars

This week we attempted Bubble Bars for the first time. A resounding success 😍 The recipe was purchased from Two Wild Hares on Etsy and was worth every cent ( or scent 😜) I tried my first Bubble Bar bath this morning and was thrilled with the result. I only used half of the bar and the tub was overflowing with gorgeous bubbles. I haven’t had a bubble bath in years as I was concerned with the amount of dubious ingredients in most products sold in stores. Our own Bars consist of Bicarb, glycerine, cocoa Butter, cornstarch, cream of tartar, SLSA, mica and fragrance. We are looking forward to attempting different shapes and colours. Although in saying that we love our little ice cream styled scoops.
